Do I have to know how to swim?
No. Many people do not swim but enjoy the other activities, or use a flotation device.
Can children come?
Yes. They must be 16 years old and you must assume all responsibility. To bring younger children you must be first to book and have four full fares in your party.
How far from land do we get?
Usually within a mile or two and we are always within sight of land.
Will I get seasick?
It is very uncommon for anyone to get seasick. The waters we sail in are well protected and normally very calm.
Do I have to bring a roommate?
No. Many people come alone but when necessary we will arrange a roommate for you of the same sex. Please be aware each stateroom has only one queen-size bed, so roommates share a bed.
How large is the yacht?
Our new "Fantastic Lady II" is a 45' Leopard Catamaran with four cabins. Each suite has its own shower and toilet. If we use other boats, they will be over 40'.
How much cooking and cleaning do I have to do?
We divide the cooking and cleaning among the crew members. Everyone helps fix two meals from a planned menu and does dishes at least twice. There is no maid service and you will have to wait on yourself.
What type of meals are there?
You will find the food excellent and always plentiful. Dinners will consist of steaks, chicken, London broil, and spaghetti.
Is there electricity on board?
We have batteries to run the lights and other equipment on board. Curlers, dryers, or electric shavers are not useable.
What do I wear?
We are very casual. Swimsuits and t-shirts are the norm, but you may wear what you are comfortable in.
Are there rules to follow?
Yes. Your safety is our number one priority, with a good time being number two. Our rules are easy to live with and for your benefit. The Skipper is in charge and has the ultimate authority. Follow his instruction or be put off with no refund.
Is there fishing available?
Yes. Bring your own gear. You are responsible for a British fishing license, and no fishing is allowed around snorkeling areas.
Do I have to bring my own snorkeling equipment?
We have some equipment, but to assure a good fit, bring your own if you have it.
What other cost will I have to pay?
Plan to pay for one dinner ashore (about $50.00) and a $40.00 boat fee, paid to the Skipper at departure. Tortola also has a $20.00 departure tax payable in cash. (USD Dollars)
Will I be clearing Customs?
Yes. When you arrive in Tortola, BVI you will need a passport. This includes:
1. U.S. Passport or
2. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check for visa requirements.
